Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA)

This course is intended to provide delegates with information that will enable care staff to recognise and report safeguarding issues as the law requires. The aim of this session is to explore the varying forms of abuse and to discuss the impact of abuse on the individual and consider the management of abuse.

This course is for Residential and Domiciliary care workers including Carers, Supervisors, Trainers and Managers who are working with older people, vulnerable adults and service users living in their own home. It is also suitable for Residential or Domiciliary care workers undertaking the Skills For Care Common Induction Standards or QCF Mandatory Units: HSC24 (EDEXCEL unit 5).

Record Keeping

To provide an understanding of the importance of good record keeping that meets the legal, clinical and accountability requirements of all care staff.

This course is for Residential and Domiciliary care workers including Carers, Supervisors, Trainers and Managers who are working with older people, vulnerable adults and service users living in their own home. It is also suitable for Residential or Domiciliary care workers undertaking the Skills For Care Common Induction Standards (CIS).
