This standard introduces your responsibilities within health and social care, helping you understand your role, boundaries, and expectations. You will learn about professional relationships, agreed ways of working, and how personal values, attitudes, and experiences can influence practice. The Care Certificate Standard 2 supports you in creating and maintaining a personal development plan. You will learn how feedback, reflection, and ongoing learning help improve performance, build confidence, and strengthen professional skills and knowledge.
This standard explains how duty of care underpins safe and compassionate practice. You will learn how to balance duty of care with individual rights, respond to concerns or complaints, and manage incidents, conflicts, and challenging situations appropriately.
Standard 4 explores inclusion, equality, diversity, and anti-discriminatory practice. Giving you a clear understanding of legislation, recognising different forms of discrimination, and learn how to promote respect, fairness, and inclusive support within care settings.

The Care Certificate Standard 10 explains how to recognise signs of abuse or neglect and respond appropriately. You will understand safeguarding principles, reporting procedures, and your responsibility to protect individuals from harm.
This standard introduces your responsibilities in protecting children and young people. You will learn how to identify risks, respond to concerns, and follow safeguarding procedures where children may be affected.
