The Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care, sets out the minimum requirements for a qualification which develops and confirms the competence of those who are currently working within the Health and Care Sector. This Diploma will allow learners to develop and demonstrate competence in areas of Health and Social Care. You will also develop technical skills, knowledge, and understanding relating to specified job roles.

Our Level 2 Health and Social Care Diploma takes around 6-8 months to complete.

A level 2 qualification is similar to having GCSE grade equivalents at grade A*–C or 4-9.

There are 9 mandatory units for the Level 2 Health and Social Care Diploma. Once completed we have created a unique pathway which is tailored to your current job role. This will allow you to gain deeper knowledge and further overall understanding of Health and Social Care.

The Level 2 Health and Social Care Diploma allows learners to develop and demonstrate competence in areas of Health and Social Care. They will also develop technical skills, knowledge and understanding related to the specified job roles. 

We provide you with lots of specialist resources to help you progress through the programme:

  • Course task activities based on specific workplace requirements of your job.
  • Relevant resources (including free Learner access to Quality Compliance Systems Ltd, which provides extensive operational policies, procedures and tool kits) to help you provide evidence of your understanding and knowledge and complete the workplace task activities.
  • One-to-one tutorial support provided remotely to you –  webinars and workshops (both live and recorded) providing relevant tutorial support.
  • Workplace observation assessment- This allows you to demonstrate your competency in performing workplace tasks and responsibilities.
  • Flexible remote access to tutors/assessors – Monday to Friday during office hours.
  • Learning portal to view all your activities – access resources and monitor your progression. 

Funding for this Diploma can be done at a Full cost price, through our Easy Payment Plans or Knoma.

For Care Assistant roles – achieving a Level 2 RQF Diploma Qualification will confirm the competence in the relevant sector, this Diploma will also support progression to further development. The next step of progression is the Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England (RQF) or for those who want to pursue a specialist qualification reflecting the context in which they work.

You do not need prior experience to complete this Level 2 Health and Social Care Diploma, however, you need to be working in a relevant role as there are work-based tasks which need to be completed for you to gain this qualification.

Teaching for this Level 2 Health and Social Care Diploma is blended with online and workplace assessments, with written coursework and workplace competency-based tasks. During your course you have flexible remote access to Tutors and Assessor support during our office hours, helping to support you through any step you need.
