Access Skills is an established provider in the care sector and the organisation of choice for many. We understand the needs of employers in the sector and ensure our programmes are designed to improve the skills of employees so that they can contribute to improving both business performance and compliance.

Having supported some 4000+ care employers with their workforce development needs, we have developed strong partnerships with leading sector organisations. We are a Skills for Care Centre of Excellence and the official training partner of the National Care Association. These partnerships and others such as that with Quality Compliance Systems (QCS), provides the opportunity for us to develop training resources for our programmes utilising relevant best practice sector resources.

We offer a range of qualifications and courses for employers and professionals working in the care sector. Our programmes vary in duration from short programmes of 1 hour to qualifications of up to 2 years. Many of our programme are available with government funding support.

We have a specialist team of advisors providing comprehensive information advice and guidance support to our clients. Whether you are interested in our induction (Care Certificate) programmes or seeking information concerning our leadership and management qualifications and programmes, we will help identify the right programme for you and advise on any funding options available.

Apprenticeships

Access Skills is a UK leading health & social care apprenticeship training provider, with over 10 years of experience delivering programmes with outstanding achievement rates. Anyone in your business from entry level to CEO can enrol onto a relevant apprenticeship.

Our innovative delivery model is designed to proactively improve the knowledge and practical skills of staff by supporting the review and development of processes and practices in the workplace, helping to make positive changes which impact on service performance. Learners are encouraged to reflect upon the impact these practices have had, giving them a better understanding of the effects, and how they can improve things further in the future.

Short Course Induction Training

We also provide essential induction (Care Certificate) training for new and returning staff. Our training is delivered as a mix of tutor-led webinars, tutorials and tutor support and eLearning.

The impact of COVID-19 has created an extremely challenging time for the social care workforce. In response Skills for Care have identified Access Skills as a training provider who can deliver priority training free of charge during this period to ensure that you have a skilled and competent workforce.

Funding for Diploma Qualifications

The adult care diploma qualifications we offer are all eligible for funding from the Workforce Development Fund managed by Skills for Care.

If Learners are interested in undertaking a Level 3, 4 or 5 Diploma we can also provide access to Advanced Learner Loans.

Short Course Management CPD

These are Skills for Care licenced programmes and are practical CPD modules aimed at Registered and other managers working in adult care services. Funding from Skills for Care is available for these programmes.
