The Level 4 Health and Social Care Diploma provides learners with the knowledge and skills required to work in health and social care in a supervisory position.
The Level 4 Health and Social Care Diploma course should take around twelve to fifteen months to complete.
The Level 4 Diploma is equivalent to a Higher National Certificates (HNC) and a Year 1 of a three-year Bachelor’s degree programme.
The Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care is specifically designed for Care Coordinators and Senior Carers who work in Adult Care. For example, it is ideal for those in supervisory positions in nursing homes, day centres, and some clinical healthcare settings.
This qualification enables learners to demonstrate and develop the skills and knowledge required within a role which has some autonomy, delegated responsibility or where there may be a need for supervision of others. This will include the main tasks and responsibilities of your role; dignity and human rights; communication; safeguarding; health and wellbeing; professional development.
We provide you with specialist resources to help you progress through the programme. For example, course task activities based on specific workplace requirements of your job, relevant resources to help you provide evidence of your understanding and knowledge to complete the workplace task activities (including free Learner access to Quality Compliance Systems Ltd, which provides extensive operational policies, procedures and tool kits).
You’ll benefit from one-to-one tutorial support delivered remotely through webinars and workshops (both live and recorded) You’ll have a workplace observation assessment, which will allow you to demonstrate your competency in performing workplace tasks and responsibilities. There’ll be flexible remote access to tutors/assessors, Monday to Friday during office hours. Your learning portal will allow you to view all of your activities, access resources and monitor your progression throughout the course.

What Career Progression Can You Achieve After Completing the Level 4 Health and Social Care Diploma?
Level 5 health and social care qualifications for the management or senior practitioner roles, or progression to a health and social care degree or other specialist qualification in their field of work
Once you have completed the Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care, the next step of progression is the Level 5 Diploma in Adult Social Care or Learners will be able to progress to the Pearson BTEC Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) (QCF).
