Care Staff Refresher Training

Our Care Refresher Training Programme is designed for experienced staff who need to refresh their skills and knowledge. 

Learners will have the option to choose from a mix of structured one hour tutor led and interactive webinar presentations covering the required knowledge for the topics specified. 

Upon completion, Learners will receive a certificate for for download.

Course learning outcomes:

Will be dependent on the workers role and responsibilities and appropriate training should be provided to enable the worker to:

  • be able to move and position an individual safely
  • use equipment which may be required
  • understand current legislation, national guidelines, policies, procedures and protocols in relation to moving and positioning individuals
  • understand anatomy and physiology in relation to moving and positioning individuals
  • be able to minimise risk before moving and positioning individuals
  • know when to seek advice and/or assistance from others when moving and positioning an individual
